Mission
Statement
The Davis Humanities Institute was founded in 1987 as part of the University of California President's system-wide initiative to increase institutional visibility and support for the humanities. The Institute is an interdisciplinary research center designed to foster the further development of the humanities at UC Davis. The Institute supports a large number of programs organized on behalf of scholars who are actively engaged in research and teaching in the fields of the humanities, the arts, and the humanistically-oriented social sciences. |
