General Information CHCI Operations Have Moved to Duke University As of April 30, 2007, the administrative operations of CHCI have moved to the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute (FHI) at Duke University. FHI Director Srinivas Aravamudan will serve as president for a five-year term, 2007 through 2012. New contact information is listed below. CHCI's administrative operations were located from 2000-2007 at the Humanities Center in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. The leadership and membership of CHCI are grateful to the Humanities Center and Harvard University for their many years of support and leadership. About CHCI Established in 1988, the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes serves as a site for the discussion of issues germane to the fostering of crossdisciplinary activity and as a network for the circulation of information and the sharing of resources. It has a membership of over one hundred and fifty centers and institutes that are remarkably diverse in size and scope and are located in the United States, Australia, Canada, Finland, Taiwan, Ireland, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and other countries. CHCI members are encouraged to meet and confer with their peers and colleagus in an annual meeting hosted by one of CHCI's member institutions. (See "Annual Meeting.") Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri, will host the gathering The Humanities in an Age of Science on March 13-14, 2008.
