Announcing the 2016 Health and Humanities Exchange Conference

The Health and Humanities Exchange (HHEX) is an event that will spotlight health-related research and education initiatives at UNC-CH, Duke, Wake Forest, and other regional programs that draw upon the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. This event will introduce faculty and students to research going on at UNC and beyond, provide a space for generative conversation, and foster collaboration in future initiatives. An additional aim of this meeting is to consider ways to collaborate across CHCI members, with the North Carolina centers taking an active leadership role.

At HHEX, you can participant in: - An interactive lecture/workshop on how training in theater and the arts can contribute to medical education and clinical practice - Panel Presentations from scholars across campus (and the Triangle), including anthropologists, literary scholars, philosophers, and more! - A roundtable on pedagogy - An interdisciplinary student research workshop - A panel presentation on initiatives at Duke, Wake Forest, Lenoir Rhyne, and NCSU - Coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners - To register, visit our website - For more information, contact: hhex.2016@gmail.com
